Two Brothers Die in Go-Kart Wreck

Two brothers die in go-kart wreck in Grundy County. It happened Saturday afternoon on Northcutts Cove Road in the city of Altamont.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol, the two boys were riding the go-kart when it went onto the main road. Then it was hit by an on-coming car. The impact sent the go-kart about 100 feet in the air.

Four-year-old Calvin Keener was found dead at the scene. Eleven-year-old Nicholas Keener later died at Erlanger.

The driver of the car was not injured.

And no charges are expected to be filed.

What a terrible tragedy two innocent lives lost so early. Yet questions remain. Where were the parents? Who gave these two small ones such a grown up toy as the news suggests? Why were they on the road instead of their yard? WHERE WERE THEIR PARENTS???
