UAMS Program Set to Discuss "Zero Waste" Recycling

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Science Cafe, Little Rock will be holding its next public forum on June 25.

The project, which is co-sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will be based on the topic Zero Waste: Reduce, Reuse and and Recycle, where panelists discuss what happens with products that are no longer needed.

The forum will be held at Vieux Carre/The Afterthought, located in the Hillcrest neighborhood from 7-9 pm. Admission is free, no reservations required but the seating is limited.

The discussion will be led by panelists from Tenenbaum Recycling Company in North Little Rock, Waste Management Recycle America in Little Rock and Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County. The moderator will be Dorothy Graves, Ph.D.,who is a research assistant professor at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

Science Cafe forums are held the fourth Tuesday of the month except for July, August and December.

Future topics include: The Science of Espionage, Brain Learning-Just Do It and Can You See It? Vision & Photography.
