The United Way of Greater Chattanooga honored those who give of themselves to help others Wednesday.
Almost 300 supporters attended the annual meeting and partnership celebration this afternoon. It was held at the Theatre Centre in Chattanooga. Companies, volunteers and clients were recognized for both their efforts and contributions. Impact, giving and society courage awards were presented during the celebration. Alison Lebovitz, United Way Campaign Chair said, "People will understand that United Way is not just about raising money, its about connecting people in the community in order to make partnerships, in order to have an impact on organizations, and in order to sustain long term change that is meaningful and that benefits everyone."
United Way raised over 11-million-dollars in it's annual campaign.
