Some say our veterans can not be honored enough. That's why Lane Funeral Home in Rossville held "Veteran's Appreciation Day."

The day included retiring an American flag, raising a new one, and a 21-gun salute. Organizers say they work with a lot of veterans and they just wanted to say thank you. Doves were also released to remember the fallen soldiers.

United States Navy Retired Chaplain Paul Williams said, "It's just an honor, really a glory to be able to participate in a ceremony like this."
