Survivor: Micronesia Fans Versus Favorites Cast Revealed Soon

We've received word from CBS that the cast of the fans versus favorites season, aka Survivor: Micronesia, will be revealed January 7, 2008.

We remain hopeful someone from the Tennessee Valley made the cut. We did hear from a woman who was contacted by the producers of Kid Nation because of her Survivor audition and application. Her information was passed from the Survivor folks to the Kid Nation people since she talked about her child... so we do know the Survivor folks did look at those who auditioned at Riverbend.

However, since there will only be 10 "fans," the odds are greatly reduced from the usual 16 or 18... as the "favorites" will fill the other slots.

Rumors across the Internet say James and Amanda from Survivor: China; Yau-Man from Fiji; Johnation, Parvati, and Ozzie from Cook Islands; Cirie from Panama; Ami & Eliza from Vanuatu; and Johnny Fairplay from Pearl Islands will be among the "favorites." There's even a fake intro on You tube:

I think our hopes just might be dashed this time around. If we can suppose Virginia is anywhere near us, then that's the closest any of the newbie/fans contestants are to us. That doesn't mean they are out for further consideration.

Who knows, maybe in the next few seasons we could see a contestant or two pop up on the show.

I'm so disappointed with the

I'm so disappointed with the casting list. To be honest, I really was hoping Sandra (the winner of pearl islands) would be in it. She was supposed to be in All-Stars but still has parasites so couldn't go. And Christa (also from Pearl Islands) would be awesome. Ami and Jon were both the villains of their seasons, how can they be favorites?

Faves or Villains?

I believe Sandra isn't playing because her husband is currently serving in Iraq (or was at the last article I read about it). Honestly, I would have loved to see Rupert or Stephenie or even Bobby Jon back. As it is, the more people on there that I don't like, the more I want to see them go home first. Starting with Fairplay.

I'd love to see a newbie win this one.

jon is a favorite because all of his tricks were funny and ami is competitive. plus rupurt (from pearl islands) and ian (palau) should b on instead of jonthan and james
