Swine flu appears to be the culprit in the death of a 12-year-old Scottsboro, Alabama boy.
The child was a student at Collins Elementary School and several other students at the school for fifth and sixth graders suffer from similar symptoms.
Health officials say swine flu is presumed to be the likely cause of death, because of the virus' prevalence in the state.
The boy, who died at Highlands Medical Center Monday, would be the third person to die from the virus in Alabama.
Jackson County Coroner John David Jordan says his office will be conducting a child death review.
