Rose Ellis sent in this recipe. She says it's an old family favorite that her mother taught her. Her youngest brother absolutely has to have this at every family get together. She says it's so wonderful that you really don't need an icing for it.
Milky Way Cake
8 regular size Milky Way Bars
2 cups of sugar
1/2 tsp. of baking soda
1 1/4 cups of buttermilk
2 sticks of butter or margarine
4 eggs
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of pecans, chopped
Preheat Oven to 352 degrees.
Melt Candy and 1 stick of butter. Set aside. Cream sugar and the other stick of butter. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Sift flour and baking soda together, mix in buttermilk and sugar mixture. Mix well, add melted candy. Stir in pecans. Bake in greased and floured Tube or Bundt cake pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
