Friends and family gather for a somber birthday celebration for missing 911 dispatcher Theresa Parker.
The Walker County woman would turn 42 today.
And her family says they haven't given up hope of bringing Theresa home.
With a poem, prayer and brightly colored balloons in hand, Theresa Parker's family and friends celebrate but with heavy hearts.
Sister Christina Hall says, "We're not giving up...no matter how long it takes...we're just hoping to bring her home and we just want her and everyone else to know we're thinking about her on her birthday."
It has been nearly 6 months since the Walker County woman's disappearance.
And only one arrest related to the case has been made.
Former Police officer Ben Chaffin, a friend of Theresa's estranged husband, faces charges including violation of oath of office, tampering with evidence and computer invasion of privacy.
Still, the family says they're confident in the ongoing investigation.
Hall says, "A lot of the public can't see and hear what's going on but we feel like it's going well and they're working very hard everyday."
Sister Hilda Wilson says, "I know we don't know everything about the investigation, we stay in constant contact with the FBI and GBI."
Theresa's estranged husband, Sam Parker is considered is a person of interest in the case. The family says they haven't heard from him in months.
Hall adds, "I honestly don't know what to think about him to be honest with you."
For now, the family will focus on Theresa and her day.
