There will be no more warnings for speeders in the Chattanooga area. Beginning today, the police department's Photo-enforcement program is in full operation.
Chattanooga motorists who run red lights or speed through areas that have the cameras can expect to see a $50 ticket in their mailbox.
The Photo Enforcement program caught more than 2,500 speeders over the past four weeks, most of them on the Hixson Pike "S" curves. Those motorists received warnings.
Police say the goal is to change driver behavior and reduce the number of serious and deadly crashes.
