Tree Crashes Down On Home, Traps Resident
Along with the EPB, it was one call after another. High winds caused a tree to fall onto a house at 2102 Mae Dell Road, trapping the resident inside. Police and fire personnel responded to the home around 7 pm. They were able to safely remove Wanda Chandler from the back area of the house. Due to heavy structural damage, the house is now uninhabitable. The exact amount of damage has not yet been determined. Chandler is staying with nearby relatives.
Storms that skipped over the tri-state area Saturday evening had police and fire departments busy.
