An automaker with ties to Chattanooga could be closer to a merger.  Porsche owns a 51% stake in Volkswagen and wants to form an integrated company with VW.

German Business Consultant To Help With Volkswagen, Wacker Employee Transition

When Chattanooga presented its pitch to Volkwagen, the city hired someone to translate it into German.

When Bradley County closed the deal with Wacker Chemical, they sought help with the language.

Both methods worked.  Now, a local import hopes to bridge the gap between both cultures.

We're learning more tonight about Volkswagen's hiring plans for the rest of this year.  While the automaker does plan to add more workers, other operations tied to VW do too.
