Vols Release Basketball Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee will face Memphis on New
Year's Eve, host Kansas and travel to Southern California as part
of its 2009-2010 schedule.
      The Vols travel to Southern California, now coached by former
Tennessee coach Kevin O'Neill, on Dec. 19 and host Kansas on Jan.
10. Both the Memphis and Kansas game will be televised on CBS.
      Tennessee also faces in-state opponents Austin Peay, Middle
Tennessee and East Tennessee State. The Vols will travel to the
U.S. Virgin Islands Nov. 20-23 to take part in an eight-team
Paradise Jam that includes Boston College, De Paul, St. Joseph's
and Purdue.
      Ten of the Vols' 16 Southeastern Conference matchups are
scheduled to air on CBS, ESPN or ESPN2, though the team's
television schedule is not complete.
      Tennessee's appearance against Kentucky in Lexington will be
featured on ESPN's College GameDay Feb. 13.
