Walker County authorities say a domestic disturbance last night led to the death of a Rising Fawn man.
Investigators say around 7:30, two men and three women were involved in a domestic assault in a field between Durham and Walden Roads on Lookout Mountain.
Authorities say a blast from a 12-gauge shotgun struck and killed 45-year old Harry Lee "Chuck" Derryberry.
Sheriff Steve Wilson says deputies took a 35-year old man into custody for questioning, but released him on the advice at the district attorney.
An autopsy will be performed.
