Every year bargain hunters and die hard yard sale shoppers go "ga-ga" for the World's Longest Yard Sale...

It stretches across 5 states and offers just about anything you could possibly want.

But this year it's not just about the bargain... Many folks say it's about the fun.

For Scott & Alma Burgess...this is vacation, "We read about it in a magazine just decided it would be interesting to try and do."

The Lexington, South Carolina couple stayed overnight in Alabama to be ready for four days of bargain hunting.

Alma Burgress says, "Just gonna follow it on through the weekend."  WDEF News 12 Reporter/Anchor Reneé LaSalle asks, "And so far?"  Alma laughs as she answers, "Love it!"

Sarah Kahler & William Hutchison of North Palm Beach, Florida plan the same thing, "We left yesterday to drive up and then we're gonna go part way up probably into Kentucky and then head back down towards Alabama."

This is the couple's second trip up Hwy 127.

They say the deals are fantastic...but the trip itself is half the fun, "It's kind of very relaxed and everyone's so friendly. We just thought we'd take a mini vacation and do it again this year."

Jim & Lamanda Smith of Florence, Ala. say it's a yard sale shoppers dream, "654 miles of yard sales...you can't beat that."

But it works for the sellers too... Kit Turner and her grandpa Jim cleaned out the attics at the condo and the lake house and in three hours flat they sold a driveway full of furniture.

Kit says, "It was full of stuff, and now it's gone."

So... from a rotary dial phone... To a tarnished silver platter... The 127 Corridor sale has both fun and great steals.

Alma Burgess adds, "One man's junk, another man's treasure."

The World's Longest Yard Sale runs through Sunday...but don't wait til the last second, folks are already selling out.
