
Young Man Killed in Police Involved Shooting at Chattanooga's East Lake Courts

A young man is dead after a police involved shooting in Chattanooga.
It happened this evening at East Lake Courts.
Chattanooga police say a Chattanooga Housing Authority officer shot the young man.
The officer reports responding to a disorder and finding the man with a gun.
Police say the officer repeatedly asked him to put down the gun but he refused.
That's when the young man got shot.
Sgt. Jerri Weary, Chattanooga Police, "We have several authorities working in conjunction with this shooting incident to determine the nature of the incident what started it before the CHA officer actually arrived on the scene and what led up to the actual confrontation with the CHA officer."
Police say a juvenile was taken into custody as a witness.
