Zookeeper Jack Hanna Makes A Stop In The Scenic City

Visitors to the Chattanooga Zoo got a special treat Tuesday night thanks to a visit by wildlife expert Jack Hanna.

Hanna brought along a few of his favorite furry friends from the Columbus, Ohio zoo, where he is the director emeritus.

Some of the exotic animals included a baby clouded leopard, a dingo and a wallaby.

There were also a few selections from the Chattanooga zoo include a tortoise and macaw.

"The is obviously serious entertainment from the standpoint from thinking about the animal world and ourselves. That's what a good zoo does. Two hundred 20 zoos in the country, 178 million {people} went to zoos last year. The biggest recreation in America," Hanna noted.

This is Hanna's second visit to the scenic city in the last 20 years.

He's originally from Knoxville and got his start at a vet clinic.
