Tennessee lawmakers are nearing a vote for a crackdown on illegal workers.
The bill would make it a misdemeanor for illegal immigrants to accept pay in Tennessee.
It could lead to a five hundred dollar fine or a six month jail term.
A Senate committee passed the bill today.
The bill should come up for votes in both the full House and Senate soon.
