Some "Secrets" Better Left Behind Closed Doors

Clint Black killed on CBS "Secret Talents of the Stars" last week, but the show still died.  CBS axed the new reality show after only one episode.

Wednesday's premiere had Black doing standup comedy to semi-rave reviews from the judges.  Other performers included singer Mya doing a tap-dancing routine and former "Star Trek" actor George Takei trying his hand at country music.  Takei couldn't keep the beat and was either in front of or behind the music while singing "On The Road Again."

However, less than 5 million people tuned in.  But thousands tuned away as the hour continued.  I guess that's why I was successfully able to stuff the ballot box for Clint and why Mya, who had the best hidden talent (tap dancing) lost in the voting to a body bending Sasha Cohen.

Jo Dee Messina was set to show off her hip-hop dance moves this week and Marla Maples was to perform some acrobatics.

If you were among the few that did watch, you noticed a visably nervous John O'Hurley hosting the show.  His hands were shaking early in the show and he had to grip the mic with both hands to keep it steady.

Oh well... it was kind of fun while it lasted.
