Lookout Mountain, Georgia residents gave their opinions on the changing face of the city hall area.
Mayor Tom Gifford says the August 2007 fire that destroyed the Lookout Mountain market prompted a revitalization.
The city council has hosted a series of meetings to get resident input on improvements to the area.
Gifford reports an overwhelmingly positive response.
Gifford says, "We're looking at the entire commercial area, not just where the fire was itself, to see, you know, we're looking down the road 10, 15, 20 years to take advantage of a maybe once in a generation opportunity."
Gifford says the council will present the findings from all six public meetings on Thursday.
He says it's been nearly 50 years since the façade of the area changed.
