The American Heart Association says women are 12 times more likely to die from heart disease than from anything else.
Women called attention to heart disease at Tuesday's Go Red For Women Luncheon. The event raised money for research and prevention.

Women usually have different symptoms and are still under represented in clinical trials. Doctors say it's crucial for women to know their risk factors.
Event Chair Kary Jordan, Klein, "Women know their child's SAT score but they don't know their numbers, they need to know their numbers, their cholesterol, their body mass index, there are numbers we need to know to be safe so we can prevent this and be around to take care of our families."
Oklahoma based motivational speaker and author Carol Dean Schreiner keynoted the event.
