YCAP's summertime plans include camping, and theme weeks like health, justice and giving back. Chattanooga's 16 rec centers also have plenty of activities in place, some of them at a cost. Rhonda Seeber, Chattanooga Parks and Rec, "Our summer camp program is going to focus on the olympics theme and there will be games and sporting event type activities that the kids will be involved in." And thirty groups have teamed up with the City and the Front Porch Alliance to offer under served youngsters age 13 to 19 a little more than something to do. Most of the programs also help keep kids from falling behind academically over the summer. Click here for more on the Chattanooga Parks and Recreation Programs. [1] Click here for more on YCAP.
