NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma's season opener against
Chattanooga will only be televised on pay-per-view.
It will be just the third time since the 2003 season that a
Sooners football game won't be available either on network or cable
television.
The game is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 and will be
available through Fox Sports Net, but athletic director Joe
Castiglione says the price and other details aren't available yet.
Oklahoma's only other games that weren't on network or cable
television in recent years were a 2006 game against Middle
Tennessee and last year's game against Utah State. Both those games
were also available on pay-per-view through Fox Sports Net.
The last Sooners game that wasn't on live television was a Nov.
15, 2003, home game against Baylor. That game was shown on tape
delay.
