What are you looking forward to the most at the Republican National Convention?
Truth that should have been
Truth that should have been told in the convention:
Cindy McCain stole drugs from her own charity and John McCain obstructed justice to keep her from being fully investigated and arrested. McCain does not support truth nor honesty nor justice.
The economy is in shambles due to the Republican way of doing things, and McCain is a true Republican supporting all of that. He indeed actively supported every Bush action with his votes for 8 years.
The Christian voting block probably will vote heavily for the Republicans mainly over just the one issue of abortion. How do they justify the immorality of Sarah Palin's family and McCain's immorality? How do they justify a war killing thousands of children (oh, it's because the children are Arabs), a war started by Bush's deliberate and preplanned lies?
Sarah Palin was not chosen for her superior qualifications to be VP. She was chosen to draw away the Hilary Clinton supporters, who just must vote for a woman regardless of the more pressing and urgent issues that really need our attention.
So, McCain is a deceiver above all else, creating things like a town hall type stage, a female running mate just because she is a woman- all these shallow, deceptive things to draw in voters who would be swayed by these things instead of the pressing issues of economy, war, Bush administration lies, gas prices, food prices, unemployment...
The truth is that in the 8 years of the Bush administration, the US is in the worst shape that it has ever been in, and McCain will change nothing. Just more deception. More lies.
Is Sarah Palin honest or honorable? No. So she is a very good choice for a Republican running mate. Lies are all we've seen from them for 8 years.
Only someone with their head
Only someone with their head in the sand would say something so ridiculous! Bush came into a shambles left behind by a president that was more interested in "No Sex" with any body he came into contact with than helping our country with energy needs or keeping the world from making nuclear weapons. How can you not see that if we do not protect those nations, that those idiot hammas will take over and we will get no oil from there? Then when you go to the pump and pay $15 per gallon you can thank the idiots who wanted to pull out and let hammas have it all!!!!
Dumb. Even if the slowing
Dumb. Even if the slowing economy was Clinton's fault, which it wasn't, Bush HAS HAD EIGHT YEARS TO DO SOMETHING TO REMEDY IT. Has he done anything? You might say yes if you make more than $250,000 per year, but otherwise you should say no. As far as the "energy crisis" goes, if we had invested every dime used on that war in Iraq ($552.4 billion) to invest in clean domestic energies, we could already have every gas station in the country outfitted to provide alternative fuels and provided subsidies to auto manufacturers to make a quicker transition to the technology. Somebody needs to let Republicans/conservatives know that oil isn't the only source of energy in the world, and that REAL SOON, it's going to run out.
pleeeeeeeze!
Look who needs to get their head out of the sand! Maybe you haven't noticed but every time the politicians stick their big noses in the affairs of another country things just go from bad to worse, why? Maybe you should read beyond the lies. Who do our despot, oil co. leaders always back? The ones Isreal tells them to? Is Russia the aggressor, or Georgia? well, that all depends upon whos lies you listen to, and who has resources that Bushco wants to plunder.
Sarah Palin
She surely is vibrant for a nursing mother, or is that not one of her unfelt obligations to her children?
First female vice president??
Sarah Palin is not the first female Vice President nominee. That particular honor goes to Geraldine Ferraro. Gov. Palin is the first "republican" VP nominee...It's about time they caught up with the rest of the world.
Who said she was? Or are
Who said she was? Or are you just trolling for controversy? Seems like the usual Dem sidebar response... especially when there's no substance to the line of attack. If you want to see real sexism, look at the way Palin has been treated.
No, Palin's being treated
No, Palin's being treated this way because the Democrats have been treated the same way for the past eight years. Apparently her "strong family values" weren't strong enough to keep her 17 year-old daughter in a vertical position, not to mention her $27 million worth of earmarks while governor (more per capita than any other state in the Union), and the fact that she's willing to do whatever it takes to fire somebody with whom she has a personal vendetta. I know you guys don't like to hear it, but McCain is going to lose, the Republican Party is going to lose, and for the first time in eight years, the American people ARE NOT going to lose.
Indicted vp nominee
Really, John McCain picked a vp nominee who has been indicted in her home state?
Also, she supported all the earmarks for Alaska by the corrupt delegation until she was picked as vp candidate.
Where is the honor???
Are you talking about the
Are you talking about the lawyer Palin hired to represent her in the investigation into the Alaska state trooper firings? Come on. The center of this Democrat manufactured "controversy" is Palin's ex-brother-in-law who Tasered his own 10-year-old stepson. Please defend that, Democrats.
Then let's talk about Rezko, Ayers, etc.
But she didn't try to fire
But she didn't try to fire him because he tased his 10 year-old stepson, now did she? It's horrible that he did that, but that wasn't her motivation for being a snake in the grass. She tried to fire him because she's an irrational, INEXPERIENCED power hungry Republican.
Please, please, please show
Please, please, please show me the indictment! Oh, wait. Just kidding. Just another smear and lie spread by the win at all costs party.
more of that hated thing called truth
John McCain was the primary opposition to the Senate Select Committee on POWs. He bitterly opposed any attempt to rescue any other POWs. This is very strange since John McCain was himself, a POW.
The POWs that might have been rescued, would have been able to give testimony about the 32 propaganda tapes that John McCain made for the communists, while in Viet Nam. The 32 propaganda tapes are still "classified" so that no one can see them.
Vietnam Veterans call John Mc! Cain a collaborator John McCain says that he would keep our soldiers in Iraq for 100 years. Would he also leave any prisoners there for the rest of their lives?
McCain was bombing women in a lightbulb factory (according to Newsweek) when shot down in North Vietnam. He has never failed to defend any illegal or violent war in which the US leaders involved the citizens.
McCain has the support of Henry Kissinger (indicted in Belgium for war crimes), of Joe Lieberman, neocon rejected by Democrats in Connecticut, and other war profiteers.
The McCain Feingold bill made it possible for war profiteers to run nonstop swift boat attack ads ... a campaign to help in Bush's illegal installation in the White House.
McCain approves the Bush tax cuts for the rich which in combination with the Iraq and Afghanistan fiascos have caused trillions in deficit.
Henry Kissinger (indicted in Belgium for war crimes),
Excuse me, I'm not trying to change the subject here, but when was Henry Kissinger indicted for war crimes? Plus, I thought that such matters were handled at the ICC in The Hague. That's in the Netherlands, not Belgium. I'm not trying to be rude or sarcastic here, just curious.
I don't write 'em
I just passed it on. Besides, what we need to look at in these news feeds is not the minor inconsistencies, but the overall picture that they convey, and, as they say, "it ain't pretty".
I just passed it on.
But you're passing on details that you posted as the truth. That is NOT a "minor" inconsistency. People can only make intelligent decisions if they have FACTS! You provided numerous details, then gloss over them when they may be erroneous. The overall picture is constructed of the details. Ask any lawyer about that!
Why are my posts being censored?
If you don't want to read the truth about the candidates, then why do you ask these questions in your bogus polls? Are the "big brother" controlled news media that afraid of the truth? I think that people have the right, no, the obligation to learn all that they can about the candidates, good or bad, so that they can make educated decisions. Cut the crap, and don't claim to report the "news" unless you are willing to report ALL of the news.
the same thing, an honest politician!
I still seek that one elusive value that I have, as yet, been unable to find in a politician, HONESTY!
Road Trip
I'm looking to see if the Republicans take a road trip to see the sights of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The tour could include the largest mall in America, the bridge that collapsed due to transportation funding being diverted to Iraq, Prince's den of iniquity, the birthplace of anti-war songwriter Bob Dylan, or the Minnesota Historical Society's archives on the accomplishments of Walter Mondale.
There's a convention this week reply
You're right, we did ask that in our Democratic poll. So, at your prodding, we'll add it in for the Republicans too. Just remember this, next time someone writes about our liberal media bias!
There's a convention this week?
My answer is the same as it was last week for the Democratic Convention. There's a convention this week? Come on WDEF...your bias is showing...

One Question.
The Democratic platform believes it should be left
to the mother to decide if the baby inside her lives or dies.I have just one question. What about the rights
of the baby and the father?
Many Christians will vote for McCain because of his stance on abortion. Both sides have their faults but killing more than 40 million babies over the past 30 plus years is something this nation will have to answer for someday.
