A love triangle involving a student at Walker Valley High School has resulted in the resignation of a teacher and the reprimand of her deputy husband.
Bradley School officials say in August Nina Thurman was forced to resign her teaching post after it was revealed she had been innapropriately texting one of her male students.
Flash forward to this month. Thurman's husband, Bradley County deputy Jamie Thurman admitted to searching through the cell phone of a Walker Valley High Student.
Thurman was meeting with the Explorer's Club, a form of boy scouts, inside the Bradley County Sheriff's Department. Thurman suspected one of the boys had been texting with his wife.
According to Sheriff Tim Gobble, Thurman admitted to going through the boys phone looking for evidence.
District Attorney Steve Bebb says this action could be considered an illegal search, but not a crime.
Gobble says there is no evidence that there was anything more going on between Nina Thurman and her student then thousands of innapropriate texts.
