Tennessee's Attorney General has settled 27 complaints about gas gouging last year after Hurricane Ike.
The state cited the stations for charging between 4-69 and 5-98 a gallon.
Most of the 16 companies are in the Knoxville and Johnson City areas.
But three of the stations are just up I-24 in Winchester and Estill Springs.

They are the Chally Wally and Speedy Market in Winchester, plus Adam's Lakeside Market in Estill Springs.

All of the companies that settled with the state deny they did anything wrong.
They say they are just avoiding further court costs.
But the Weigel stores in the Knoxville area are going to fight it.
The Attorney General has filed suit against the owners.
