The name Pabst stuck...and now Pabst is a blue ribbon winner. Worlds Ugliest Dog. The title taken by this citrus height pooch.
"All my friends are telling me he's the uglsist dog they've ever seen..."
Maybe it's the unique underbite. That was the first thing Miles Egstad noticed about the possible boxer-pit bull mix when he saw him in a shelter three years ago.
"I just asked them what was wrong with him."
But there was something else that made Miles want to bring home this chomper challenged mutt. Miles suspected abuse.
"He's go several marks and he was real timid whn I got him."
Now Pabst is living the good life.
"That's the crazy look that got me scared the first couple times he did that."
A surprise title taker.
"I don't find him ugly but everyone else does."
The Chinese Crested like Rascal here, normally have a lock on these competitions. But this isn't Pabst first win. Look at this ribbon. He also won best smile in a Sacramento competition earlier this year. So what's his secret?
"He's a lover, he's got a great personality. I think that is what won over the judges at the ugly dog contest."
There was no talent competition. But as far as hobbies, Pabst likes lying around and looking out the window. Regardless of the new title, Miles see an inner beauty in his buddy.
"He's a good looking ugly dog."
