Hundreds of people strapped on their walking shoes to raise money for a good cause...
The 12th annual Strides of March provides funding for Chattanooga Cares.
The organization who's mission it is to education people about Aids and provide services to those dealing with the disease.
The event hoped to raise 50-thousand dollars.
Executive Director David Brock says while HIV has been around for several decades now...those it effects is changing.
Brock says, "It's moving into heterosexual and African American communities...Latinos. Our job is about educating those communities who may not be as familiar with it."
With proper treatment Brock says more people are living longer lives with HIV.
