In Catoosa County, there's a debate brewing over a proposed Y-M-C-A.
The Y of Chattanooga wants to lease 7 and a half acres of land for a dollar a year for 25 years.
Under the proposal...the county would pay 5-hundred thousand dollars in sales tax funds for a gym and soccer fields plus be required to maintain portions of the grounds.
One local gym owner feels it's unfair for the county to subsidize a private business against an existing one.
And says the county is no financial shape to accept the proposal.

"You're taking our tax dollars and giving it to the YMCA and then the YMCA is going to charge us to use it. You're not getting a discount."
The county commission...Waters and the Y plan to discuss the issue further at a meeting tonight.
