Nordia Epps showed us how Desegregation actually killed off several black owned businesses on the Big 9.
One of them was the Hotel Martin.
Over the years, the hotels registry looks like a who's-who of several music halls of fame.
But today there is only an historic marker outside the Bessie Smith Hall to remind us about it.
Here is the story we ran in 1985, when that plaque was dedicated.
