Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - The 24th-ranked Memphis Tigers had a four- game win streak snapped in their last outing, and will try to get back in the win column as they host the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in American Athletic Conference action at the FedExForum.

The Scarlet Knights were roughing through a four-game losing streak before they ended it Saturday with a 93-70 blowout win against Houston. Rutgers is trying to climb out of a conference hole that has them six and a half games back of Cincinnati - the AAC leader.

Memphis hasn't lost back-to-back games all season long, and will try to keep that streak intact as they host the Scarlet Knights. The Tigers dropped an 87-72 decision to SMU Saturday, which set them back to 6-3 in the conference standings - three and a half games behind Cincinnati.

This will be the first time ever Memphis and Rutgers will take the court together as members of the new AAC. The two teams will meet for a second time during the regular season when the Tigers travel to New Jersey.

On Saturday, it was all Rutgers, as the Scarlet Knights dominated the Houston Cougars. Rutgers took a commanding 46-31 lead into the half and never looked back, continuing to pile on a lead in the second half. J.J. Moore scored 27 points to pace Rutgers in the game, which was followed closely by Myles Mack's 25 points. Kadeem Jack added 16 points, and Jerome Seagears chipped in 11 points in the lopsided victory.

Mack and Jack is a dynamic scoring duo for the Scarlet Knights this season. Mack tops the squad with a 16.1 ppg average and a team-best 91 assists on the year, while Jack checks in at 13.7 ppg and a team-best 7 rpg clip. Jack also leads the squad with 30 blocked shots. Moore is the third double-digit scorer for Rutgers, averaging 12.2 ppg for a team scoring 75 ppg.

Memphis and SMU went into the locker rooms at the half knotted up, but the Tigers were the ones that came out flat in the second half and allowed the Mustangs to cruise to an AAC victory. Memphis fell two spots in the national rankings, dropping from No. 22 to 24. Joe Jackson led the way for the Tigers with 22 points in the contest, adding eight rebounds and six assists to his stat line. Geron Johnson netted 18 points and paced the squad with seven assists, while Michael Dixon Jr. chipped in 13 points.

Jackson paces the Tigers in scoring this season with 14.6 ppg on 44.4 percent shooting from the floor. He's followed by Shaq Goodwin, who only scored six points against SMU, at 12.5 ppg. Jackson leads the team with 91 assists on the year, and Goodwin tops the roster in rebounding at 6.7 rpg. Dixon rounds out the double-digit scorers this season with 11.4 ppg.
