Birmingham, AL (Sports Network) - South Alabama men's basketball coach Ronnie Arrow announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Arrow has served as the Jaguars head coach for 12 seasons over two separate stints with the program. He also served as head coach for Texas A&M Corpus Christi (1998-2007).

Arrow began his head coaching career with South Alabama in 1987 and posted a 114-93 record before he was dismissed during the 1994 season following a 1-3 start. Arrow returned to the program in 2007 after guiding Texas A&M-CC to its first NCAA tournament appearance.

Since returning, Arrow has led the Jags to a 63-35 record and three Sun Belt conference championships.

Arrow was named the 2007 Southland Conference Coach of the year while with Texas A&m-CC and has posted a 345-252 record at the Division I level.

Associate head coach Jeff Price will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

Price has served as head coach at three school, posting a 318-188 mark over 17 season at Lynn, Georgia Souther and West Virginia Wesleyan. Price was named the NCAA Division II National Coach of the year in 1997 after leading Lynn to a 28-3 record.
