Recap: Dayton vs. George Washington

Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Chris Johnson knocked down 4-of-5 three-pointers en route to a game-high 19 points, and the Dayton Flyers closed out the Atlantic 10 regular-season schedule with a 75-59 rout over George Washington at UD Arena.

Matt Kavanaugh tallied 15 points and eight rebounds for the Flyers (19-11, 9-7 A-10), who will host a first-round matchup in the conference tournament. Kevin Dillard had 12 points and seven assists, while Paul Williams scored 10 in the win.

David Pellom tallied 18 points and nine boards off the bench for the Colonials (10-20, 5-11), who finished their schedule by losing nine of their final 11 games. Tony Taylor added 17 points and Lasan Kromah scored 16 in a losing effort.

GW never led in the contest, as Dayton shot a healthy 54.2 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 38-27 lead into the break.

The Flyers opened the second stanza with an 11-2 run to push their advantage to 20, and GW never got within single digits the rest of the way.

UD was highly-efficient from long range, knocking down 10-of-16 threes (.625) for the game. The Flyers have now won four straight against the Colonials.
