Recap: Northern Colorado vs. Weber State

Greeley, CO (Sports Network) - Damian Lillard scored a game-high 30 points as the Weber State Wildcats made easy work of the Northern Colorado Bears 88-71 in a Big Sky bout at Butler-Hancock Pavilion.

Lillard also added eight assists for Weber State (23-4, 14-1 Big Sky), which has won seven in a row. Gelaun Wheelwright scored 15 points, Kyle Tresnak added 14 points, Kyle Bullinger recorded 10 points, and Darin Mahoney grabbed 11 rebounds for the Wildcats.

For Northern Colorado (9-18, 5-10), Paul Garnica scored 16 points and Mike Proctor tallied a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Tate Unruh added 11 points and Connor Osborne pitched in 10 points for the Bears.

Weber State took a 48-39 lead into halftime by connecting on 50 percent of its field goals in the first half. Northern Colorado shot just 42.9 percent from the field in the frame.

The Wildcats held their lead by shooting 44.4 percent from the floor after the break.

Weber State made a difference at the foul line, shooting 23-of-26. Northern Colorado made just 10-of-19 from the free-throw stripe.
