Recap: Oregon State vs. Utah

Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Jared Cunningham delivered a game-high 17 points and also handed out six assists as Oregon State defeated Utah, 77-67, in Pac-12 Conference play at Gill Coliseum.

Also scoring in double figures for the Beavers (16-13, 6-11 Pac-12) were Joe Burton and Ahmad Starks with 13 points apiece as the team snapped a five-game slide. Eric Moreland contributed nine points and 13 rebounds in the triumph.

The Runnin' Utes (6-23, 3-14), losers of nine of their last 10, were paced by Dijon Farr who dropped in 16 points and cleared nine rebounds as the team remained winless on the road in 14 tries. Jason Washburn responded with all 14 of his points in the second half and Chris Hines tacked on 12.

Oregon State took control immediately, jumping out to a 6-0 lead and then cruising to a 36-15 advantage at the break on the strength of 51.9 percent shooting from the floor. The Utes made a mere five field goals in the opening 20 minutes.

Utah bounced back strong in the second half, converting a sizzling 69.2 percent from the floor in order to close the gap, but the deficit was simply too great and the visitors still bowed by double digits.

Oregon State now has 16 victories for just the third time since 1990.
