Recap: Louisiana vs. ULM

Lafayette, LA (Sports Network) - Charles Winborne scored a game-high 20 points as the ULM Warhawks earned a 78-60 decision over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in a Sun Belt Conference bout at the Cajundome.

Fred Brown added 19 points and five assists for ULM (3-26, 2-14 SBC), while Hugh Mingo contributed a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds. Steven McClellan chipped in 14 points as the Warhawks ended their 11-game losing streak.

Darshawn McClellan scored 11 points to lead Louisiana (16-14, 10-6), while Josh Brown and David Perez chipped in 10 points each.

The Ragin' Cajuns took a 28-23 lead into halftime after they shot 36 percent from the floor in the opening period. ULM fell behind after it went 1-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first half.

The Warhawks opened up the second half on a 7-0 run to take a 30-28 lead within two minutes of the period's start. ULM then ran away with it by shooting a net scorching 72 percent from the field while connecting on 6-of-8 from three-point range in the final 20 minutes.

Louisiana's performance at the free throw line was frustrating, as it went 14- of-28 from the charity stripe. ULM shot 53.7 percent from the field in the contest.
