Recap: North Texas vs. ULM

Denton, TX (Sports Network) - Tony Mitchell finished with a double-double of 18 points and 15 rebounds to go with six blocks as the North Texas Mean Green completed an 86-51 rout of the ULM Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference matchup at The Super Pit.

Alzee Williams added 12 points in the win for North Texas (15-11, 8-5 Sun Belt), while Tyler Hall and Roger Franklin tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Fred Brown scored 17 points to lead the way for ULM (2-24, 1-14), while Marcelis Hansberry netted 10 points and collected nine rebounds.

The Warhawks were limited to 37.9 percent shooting from the field over the opening 20 minutes, allowing North Texas to build a commanding 44-28 halftime advantage.

The Mean Green never looked back during the second stanza, as the squad outscored ULM 42-23 while shooting at a 54.5 percent clip.

The Mean Green won the battle of the boards by a 48-40 margin and outscored the Warhawks 30-20 on points in the paint.
