Recap: Eastern Wash vs. Idaho State

Cheney, WA (Sports Network) - Cliff Colimon scored 22 points and dealt out seven assists as the Eastern Washington Eagles downed the Idaho State Bengals 81-75 in a Big Sky Conference quarterfinal game at Reese Court.

Laron Griffin scored 21 points and grabbed 11 boards for the fourth-seeded Eagles (15-16), who will face top-seeded Montana in the semifinals on Tuesday. Jeffrey Forbes added 21 points.

Kenny McGowen scored 28 points for the fifth-seeded Bengals (9-21), who have lost seven of their last eight. Melvin Morgan added 22 points and Sherrod Baldwin chipped in 10.

Eastern Washington led 37-32 at halftime after shooting 46.7 percent from the floor, including 5-of-10 from long range. Idaho State shot 36.4 percent from the field in the opening stanza.

Eastern Washington heated up after halftime, shooting 60.9 percent from the floor in the second half and 13-of-16 from the foul line.

The Eagles scored 32 points in the paint. Idaho State was 14-of-33 from outside the arc.
