Recap: Long Beach State vs. UC Davis

Anaheim, CA (Sports Network) - Eugene Phelps scored 18 points, leading five players in double figures, as the Long Beach State 49ers completed an 80-46 rout of the UC Davis Aggies in quarterfinal round action of the Big West Conference Tournament at the Honda Center.

T.J. Robinson added 12 points to help pace top-seeded LBSU (23-8), while James Ennis, Casper Ware, and Peter Pappageorge tallied 11 points each.

The eighth-seeded Aggies (5-26) were led by Eddie Miller, who finished with 17 points.

LBSU jumped out to a commanding 41-21 halftime lead thanks to a 53.3 percent effort from the field over the opening 20 minutes.

The 49ers then stifled the Aggies to just 33.3 percent from the floor during the second frame en route to the 34-point win.

The Aggies were guilty of a game-high 20 turnovers during the contest, which translated into 31 LBSU points.

LBSU advanced to the semifinals on friday where it will take on seventh-seeded UC Irvine, which upset No. 2 Cal State Fullerton on Thursday.
