Recap: Tennessee vs. Ole Miss

New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Terrance Henry scored seven of his 19 points in the extra period to lead the seventh-seeded Ole Miss Rebels to a 77-72 overtime victory over second-seeded Tennessee Volunteers in the quarterfinal round of the Southeastern Conference Tournament at New Orleans Arena.

Jarvis Summers had 17 points for Ole Miss (20-12), while Murphy Holloway recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Reginald Buckner added 12 points to help the Rebels advance to Saturday's semifinal round where they will face third-seed Vanderbilt.

Trae Golden paced the Volunteers (18-14) with 21 points. Cameron Tatum and Skylar McBee each contributed 15 points while Jeronne Maymon provided a double-double of his own with 11 points and 17 boards. McBee made 5-of-11 attempts from three-point range, including a high arching bank shot from distance in the closing seconds of regulation which forced overtime.

Neither side could manage to pull away in the opening period. The game went into halftime tied up, 28-28, after Ole Miss shot 33.3 percent from the floor in the first half. The Volunteers made only 23.1 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half, but managed to keep up by converting 13-of-17 at the charity stripe before the intermission.

Although the Rebels outscored their opponent, 20-4, in the paint after halftime, they could not build a lead bigger than four points. Henry extended the Rebels' lead to 61-58 with a pair of free throws with only nine seconds left to play, which set up McBee's game-tying triple.

Jarnell Stokes put in a layup to begin the overtime period and give Tennessee a 63-61 advantage. Ole Miss scored the next nine points to take complete control. Stokes made a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left to cut the Rebels' lead to 74-72, but Henry put it out of reach for good with three makes from the charity stripe.

Tennessee held a 49-41 advantage in the rebounding battle, but that did not make up for its poor 28.1 percent shooting from field. Ole Miss went 2-of-4 from beyond the arc while the Volunteers made 11-of-34 from three-point range.
