Recap: Morehead State vs. Jacksonville St

Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - Angelo Warner registered a game-high 18 points to lead the Morehead State Eagles to a 68-54 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks in the quarterfinal round of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament at Municipal Auditorium.

Milton Chavis logged 14 points off the bench to help pace the third-seeded Eagles (18-14), which also got 12 and 11 points from Drew Kelly and Ty Proffitt, respectively.

The duo of Ronnie Boggs and Tarvin Gaines scored 12 points apiece to lead the way for seventh-seeded JSU (15-18), while Mason Leggett chipped in 11 points.

The Gamecocks were held to a meager 30.0 percent from the floor during the opening period of play, allowing MSU to take a slight 24-22 lead into the break.

The Eagles hit 52.6 percent of their attempts from the field and converted 23- of-29 at the foul line over the final 20 minutes to run away with the 14-point win.

MSU advances to Friday's semifinal round and will face No. 2 seed Tennessee State.
