Recap: Oregon State vs. Washington St

Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Abe Lodwick tallied a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Washington State Cougars defeated the Oregon State Beavers 72-55 in the semifinals of the College Basketball Invitational at Gill Coliseum.

Lodwick shot 8-of-12 on the night, including 5-of-8 from the three-point line. Also having a big scoring night for Washington State (18-16) was Reggie Moore, who finished with 22 points.

For Oregon State (21-15), Eric Moreland recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds and Jared Cunningham scored 13 points. Though the Beavers were the Pac-12's highest-scoring team this season, they shot only 38 percent from the floor, including 2-of-12 from beyond the arc.

Washington State came out of the gates firing, connecting on 51.6 percent of its field goals in the first half, including 5-of-10 from three-point range, to take a 39-29 lead into intermission.

The Cougars' dominance continued after the break, as they held a double digit lead for nearly the entire second half.

Washington State will play for the CBI title against Pittsburgh in a best-of- three championship series.
