Recap: Boston Univ vs. Belmont

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Blake Jenkins and Ian Clark each scored 15 points as the Belmont Bruins defeated the Boston University Terriers, 64-48, as part of the UCF Holiday Classic at UCF Arena.

Kerron Johnson added 12 points and six assists for Belmont (9-3), which will advance to play the host team UCF in Saturday's championship matchup. Trevor Noack tallied a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the triumph.

Maurice Watson, Jr. scored 11 points for BU (5-7), which will play Howard in the consolation matchup on Saturday.

Belmont shot a modest 45.5 percent from the field in the first half, but it was able to hold the Terriers to just 37.5 percent shooting as it opened up a 40-24 lead at intermission.

The Bruins' field goal shooting pace slowed to 38.5 percent after the break, and the Terriers brought their deficit to just five, 53-48, with 6:49 remaining. BU wouldn't score another point however, as Belmont ended the game on an 11-0 run.

Belmont held a 40-30 advantage in the rebounding battle and outscored BU in the paint, 36-22.
