Recap: Dayton vs. Weber State

Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Scott Bamforth's 15 points were vital for the Weber State Wildcats as they defeated the Dayton Flyers, 62-61, in a thriller at University of Dayton Arena.

Bamforth shot 4-of-9 from the floor and knocked down three three-pointers in the win for the Wildcats (2-2). Kyle Tresnak led the team in scoring with 16 points to go with seven rebounds. Joel Bolomboy added seven points and 10 boards off the bench.

Kevin Dillard was the leading scorer for the Flyers (4-2) with a game-high 18 points, followed by Josh Benson who added 17 with Devin Oliver with 13 points. Both Benson and Oliver grabbed nine rebounds.

Dayton led 25-20 at the break after both teams struggled to make shots, with the Flyers converting just 31.3 percent from the field and the Wildcats shooting 30.8 percent.

Weber State erupted in the second half as it made 61.9 percent from the floor, including 6-of-10 beyond the arc. Bamforth knocked down a three-pointer with 1:26 left in the game to put the Wildcats ahead by three then made both free- throw attempts with eight seconds left as they held on to take the one-point win.

Weber State survived despite turning the ball over 18 times.
