Recap: Miami-Florida vs. La Salle

Coral Gables, FL (Sports Network) - Kenny Kadji registered his third double- double of the season by producing 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Miami- Florida Hurricanes to a 76-59 victory over the La Salle Explorers in a non- conference tilt at the BankUnited Center.

Kadji shot 4-of-9 from the floor and finished with four steals and three blocked shots. The Miami (9-3) backcourt of Durand Scott and Shane Larkin each netted 18 points while playing 39 and 36 minutes, respectively. Trey McKinney-Jones had it going on from behind the arc, connecting on 4-of-5 attempts from the 3-point line.

Tyrone Garland came off the bench to score 20 points in 26 minutes to lead the Explorers (9-3), who saw their three-game winning streak snapped with the loss. Ramon Galloway hit four 3-pointers for 12 points but committed six turnovers.

Galloway scored all 12 of his points in the first half. He and Garland charged 10-0 run late in the half to give the Explorers a 36-30 halftime edge.

The Hurricanes took control of the game midway through the second half with a 16-2 run which included back-to-back triples by Larkin. They shot 56 percent in the final 20 minutes while La Salle converted just 32.4 percent of its field goal tries including only 1-of-8 from 3-point range.

Miami snaps a two-game series losing streak with the win but they are just 5-9 against La Salle in 14 matchups.
