Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Vee Sanford led all scorers with 23 points, and the Dayton Flyers fended off the Murray State Racers, 77-68, at UD Arena.

Kevin Dillard recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists to help the Flyers (9-3) rebound from Wednesday's home loss to Illinois State. Matt Derenbecker knocked down 4-of-6 3-pointers en route to 14 points off the bench, while Devin Oliver grabbed 11 rebounds to go along with his six points.

The Racers (9-2) saw their school-record 16-game road winning streak come to a halt, despite a 20-point effort from Isaiah Canaan and 17 points and 13 rebounds from Ed Daniel. Dexter Fields rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points in the loss, as he shot 4-of-7 from beyond the arc.

Murray State made 6-of-12 threes and went 13-of-17 at the foul line in the first half. UD took a 34-33 lead following a trey by Derenbecker with 3:15 to play in the opening stanza, but the Racers answered with an 8-0 run and took a 41-36 lead into the half.
