Recap: La Salle vs. Duquesne

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Ramon Galloway finished with 23 points and six assists to lead the La Salle Explorers to a 97-64 rout of the Duquesne Dukes in an Atlantic 10 Conference clash at Tom Gola Arena.

Tyrone Garland notched 20 points off the bench for La Salle (20-7, 10-4 A-10), while Tyreek Duren and Jerrell Wright scored 16 points apiece. Sam Mills added 10 points as the Explorers have now won six of their last seven games.

Derrick Colter paced Duquesne (8-20, 1-13) with 16 points and five assists. Quevyn Winters had 13 points for the visitors.

La Salle asserted its dominance in the first half, shooting 5-of-9 from behind the arc and 62.1 percent overall. The Explorers were also 9-of-10 at the foul line en route to a 50-25 halftime edge. Duren and D.J. Peterson each had four assists and no turnovers in the period.

Colter had 14 of his 16 points in the second half and Duquesne shot 50 percent from the field in the period but trailed by at least 18 points throughout.

The Explorers benefited from 20 points off turnovers, while Duquesne managed just three.
