Washington, D.C. (Sports Network) - Bobby Hain came off the bench to record a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Youngstown State Penguins held on to defeat the George Washington Colonials, 80-73, in the season opener for both teams at Charles E. Smith Center.

George Washington climbed back in the game in the second half, and it even tied the contest, 71-71, with under a minute to play on an Armwood bucket, but the Penguins finished on a 9-2 run to close out the game.

The Penguins out-rebounded the Colonials, 43 to 38. While both teams made 24 free throws, neither shot above 64 percent from the line.
