Recap: La Salle vs. George Washington

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Ramon Galloway dropped 29 points to lead the La Salle Explorers to an 84-70 win over the George Washington Colonials in Atlantic 10 action at Tom Gola Arena.

Tyreek Duran finished with 19 points and seven assists for La Salle (21-7, 11-4 A-10), which won for the seventh time in its last eight contests. Jerrell Wright and Tyrone Garland chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively, off the bench.

Isaiah Armwood had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead George Washington (12-16, 6-9), while Lasan Kromah netted 15 points off the bench. Kethan Savage shot 6- of-9 from the floor for 12 points.

Galloway erupted for 18 of his 29 points on 7-of-9 from the field in the opening 20 minutes. La Salle shot 68 percent from the floor and 10-of-16 from behind the arc in the half and led 47-37 at the break.

Wright scored the first four points of the second half for La Salle, which extended its lead to 69-50 midway through the period after a Galloway layup. The Explorers held GW without a 3-pointer in the period.

La Salle won despite allowing 54 points in the paint and 20 second chance points.
