Recap: Temple vs. La Salle

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson hung up a double- double with career-highs in points (23) and rebounds (18) as the Temple Owls took down the cross-town rival La Salle Explorers in Atlantic 10 action at the Liacouras Center.

Khalif Wyatt added 17 points, Scootie Randall had a double-double of his own with 15 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony Lee and Jake O'Brien each added 10 points for Temple (18-8, 7-5 A-10) which has won four of its last five outings.

Ramon Galloway also had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, Tyreek Duren tallied 16 points, Tyrone Garland chipped in 14 points and Sam Mills added 11 points for La Salle (18-7, 8-4) which had a four-game winning streak put to an end.

Temple held La Salle to just nine field goals on 32.1 percent shooting to take a commanding 39-25 lead into the break,

After halftime the Owls shot 59.3 percent from the field to hold off the Explorers who improved to 56.3 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes.

Temple outscored La Salle, 19-9, in second chance points while taking a 42-27 edge in rebounds.
