Saint Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Rob Loe scored a game-high 20 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Saint Louis Billikens posted a 70-62 win over the Minutemen of Massachusetts in Atlantic 10 Conference play at Chaifetz Arena.

Jordair Jett accounted for 15 points off the bench for the Billikens (12-3, 1-0 A10), followed by Kwamain Mitchell and Mike McCall Jr with 10 points apiece as the squad registered a ninth straight victory.

The Minutemen (10-4, 0-1) were paced by Cady Lalanne who recorded a double- double with 18 points and a game-high 13 rebounds as the team had a seven-game win streak snapped. Chaz Williams added 14 points, seven assists and six rebounds, followed by Terrell Vinson with 11 points.

Both teams shot 44.4 percent from the floor in the first half, but thanks to a 9-of-11 showing at the free-throw line in the period it was Saint Louis that held a 35-32 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Billikens connected on 44 percent from the field and survived 1-of-6 beyond the arc, en route to the eight-point home win.

In a game that featured seven ties and 15 lead changes, the biggest difference took place at the charity stripe where UMass was outscored by a 21-11 margin.
